Another Week In Togane!

Another week has come and gone so fast. First of all I'd like to thank my family and Grandma and Grandpa Stevens for the packages that they sent me for Valentines day. I really enjoyed them.  So a shout out to all of you.  Second I'd like to wish everyone a happy Presidents' Day.  I hope that you all have lots of fun staying home from school and enjoy all of the snow that you have there, and the central heating. lol  For our Presidents' Day we sang the national anthem which made our Australian friend not very happy for some reason.  Then we got in a big debate about the civil war and Abraham Lincoln.  You know how much I love to talk politics. lol  Also today we are going to make the trek to Chiba. The wind was super strong this week.  While riding our bikes on a really thin road the wind almost blew me off of my bike and into a flooded rice field.  I almost got to go swimming on my mission! Unfortunately I caught myself first. lol We had 3 investigators c

Konnichiwa From Togane

Hi how is everyone doing?  It seems like forever since I was last able to email you.  Not much has happened since then except that we got ipads.  They are way cool. It is taking some time to get use to them but they will help with the work. We had the biggest snowstorm in 20 years here in Togane.  All the Japanese people were surprised and bought snow tires and chains and we only got 5 inches of snow.  Now it's interesting to hear cars coming from a mile away with snow tires on.  The good thing about the snow storm was that we got to walk around in it for 8 hrs straight, yay.   On the investigator front, we are meeting with a lot of people from Chinatown in Togane.  There is an international school near to where we live and we are having lots of success with the Chinese people going there.  Unfortunately school just finished so a lot of them are going home for the break and wont be back until April so we may have a few down days before they come back.  The Chinese people ar

Konnichiwa Minasan!!

Hey, we had a very long week this week.  Elder C... is super cool, and he works really hard.  We seriously had no breaks at all this week and we even had to skip a lot of lunches and dinners cuz we were working so hard.  Hopefully we won't have to do that again cuz I seriously was super hungry all week.  But the work paid off.  We got the most lessons that I have ever seen in a week on my mission this week.  We started off with nothing and we are now leading the zone in lessons taught, baptismal dates, and new investigators.  We have really seen miracles.  Togane is super cool, and warm!  Which is awesome.  The ward is really nice and we have a big long list of people that want to feed us every week.  Oh and good news we get the ipads this Wednesday!  How sweet is that!?  The only downside is that we have to give back our wifi walkers when we get the iPads, so we will have to bike 30 min to the church to be able to use the Internet.     In other news I got my violin back.  Whe
