Another week has come and gone so fast. First of all I'd like to thank my family and Grandma and
Grandpa Stevens for the packages that they sent me for Valentines day.
I really enjoyed them. So a shout out to all of you. Second I'd like
to wish everyone a happy Presidents' Day. I hope that you all have
lots of fun staying home from school and enjoy all of the snow that
you have there, and the central heating. lol For our Presidents' Day
we sang the national anthem which made our Australian friend not very
happy for some reason. Then we got in a big debate about the civil
war and Abraham Lincoln. You know how much I love to talk politics.
lol Also today we are going to make the trek to Chiba.
The wind was super strong this week. While riding our bikes on a
really thin road the wind almost blew me off of my bike and into a
flooded rice field. I almost got to go swimming on my mission!
Unfortunately I caught myself first. lol
We had 3 investigators come to church this Sunday and the ward was
super surprised. Because of this we got tons of dinner appointments
this week with the members so I don't think we will have to cook our
own dinner for at least a week! The ward really loves us. The three
investigators were T..., our super prepared Chinese friend, he is
going to get baptized on the 8th of march, K..., our 18 year old high
school buddy who loves to play baseball and who is supposed to get
baptized on the 22nd or march but now apparently he has a problem with
drinking whiskey so he doesn't want to anymore (don't worry we will keep
working with him), and a 48 year old guy named I... who we found last
Saturday. He had already gotten a Book of Mormon and read all of it
but he had forgotten about the missionaries. He is already Protestant
and when we asked him to come to church this Sunday he said no because he
was going to his other church. But later that night he called us and
told us that he needed to come to church because when he was reading the
Book of Mormon he was overcome by this feeling of peace and so
he knew that he had to come. He's getting baptized on the 9th of March
if he masters the Bible by then. That's a big goal! lol
Well that's the lowdown of the week. Have fun with all the snow and the skunk! (We had a skunk fall into our basement window well and the smell was very strong to say the least).

to email you. Not much has happened since then except that we got
ipads. They are way cool. It is taking some time to get use to them but they will help with the work.
We had the biggest snowstorm in 20 years here in Togane. All the
Japanese people were surprised and bought snow tires and chains and
we only got 5 inches of snow. Now it's interesting to hear cars
coming from a mile away with snow tires on. The good thing about the
snow storm was that we got to walk around in it for 8 hrs straight,
yay. On the investigator front, we are
meeting with a lot of people from Chinatown in Togane. There is an
international school near to where we live and we are having lots of
success with the Chinese people going there. Unfortunately school
just finished so a lot of them are going home for the break and wont
be back until April so we may have a few down days before they come
back. The Chinese people are super cool and they speak English too
which makes it way easier to buddy up with them and teach them. They
invited us to their intermural b-ball games and we are going to play
next Friday. I'm pretty excited to be able to play sports again. Well
that about it for this week. Have fun everyone.

Hey, we had a very long week this week. Elder C... is super cool, and he works really hard. We seriously had no breaks at all this week and we even had to skip a lot of lunches and dinners cuz we were working so hard. Hopefully we won't have to do that again cuz I seriously was super hungry all week. But the work paid off. We got the most lessons that I have ever seen in a week on my mission this week. We started off with nothing and we are now leading the zone in lessons taught, baptismal dates, and new investigators. We have really seen miracles. Togane is super cool, and warm! Which is awesome. The ward is really nice and we have a big long list of people that want to feed us every week. Oh and good news we get the ipads this Wednesday! How sweet is that!? The only downside is that we have to give back our wifi walkers when we get the iPads, so we will have to bike 30 min to the church to be able to use the Internet.
In other news I got my violin back. When Sister Budge heard that I played the violin, she had the Niigata elders send it to me so that I could play the violin with Elder C.... We haven't had a chance to play any duets yet but hopefully soon.
Well that's all the time I have now. Elder C... wants to do some finding again so we may have to skip dinner again. lol Love yah!!
